Farflung is a trivia game related to geography, in which the player must use clues related to borders, continents, historical events, and other geographical information to guess countries. In each expedition, there are five questions, and you must guess a country corresponding to each description. You will have an opportunity to explore an interactive map with 195 countries on it.
Getting an accurate response is not everything. The game applies the rarity-based scoring system; thus, the player gets more kilometers for a less obvious choice. Thus, a common response will get 40 km, whereas the rarest answers give 100 km. You can get 500 km for choosing rarest-tier answers in each of the five questions.
Farflung provides you with daily puzzles and an unlimited number of journeys that will allow you to practice a lot. If you choose the Classic mode, you will be able to give answers within 60 seconds. However, there is also a Wander mode in which there is no time limit. Besides, you can keep track of your personal bests and examine the correct answers after completing each game.
First of all, you need to read the question carefully and think of the country that suits the clue. Locate it either on the map or in the search bar. Then select the country, put your pin, and click Drop Pin. Please keep in mind that you will have just one chance to answer.
With Farflung, you get to combine geography with strategy. With each exploration mission you go on, you learn about different countries, think about different ways you can answer questions, and try to score as high as possible.
