Catdoku

Catdoku is an interesting puzzle that unites the features of both Sudoku and Minesweeper, supplemented by a cute cat theme. Instead of placing numbers on a grid, your task is to determine the right territory for each indifferent cat. You have an interesting colored grid where you need to use all your skills of observation, deduction, and logical thinking to solve the puzzle.

Learn the Four Rules in Catdoku

Every cat should meet four criteria for you to pass the level successfully. No two cats can be placed in one line; no two cats can be the same color, and of course, cats need their own personal space - you cannot place two cats next to each other, even diagonally.

For instance, when you play on a 6x6 board, you finally place six cats, one in every row, column, and color, and all other cells should stay free.

Use X Marks Wisely

Instead of making assumptions about which cat should go in which place, it is better to mark those impossible places with an X. Such places cannot contain any cat since there will be another cat either in the same row, column, or color.

Solve Through Elimination

With many X marks, it will be easy to see the answer. Before placing a cat anywhere, examine all the places thoroughly, especially when there are many places for it to go. Some hints are also provided whenever required.

Avoid Costly Mistakes

Since Catdoku does not reward impulsive actions, make sure that the placement of a cat is correct before clicking on it. There will be a penalty of fish for every mistake you make. As the levels get increasingly difficult, you will have ample scope to hone your deduction skills.

Simple Controls and Relaxing Design

The controls are user-friendly. You can click on a square to make an “X,” while you can double-click on it to put a kitty in it. Clean design and nice animations contribute to creating a relaxed mood.
